Costumes

Showtime is proud to be a “big band” that has maintained its small band/family feel. Our masqueraders are not merely “customers “or numbers on a spreadsheet, but individuals we are happy to see Carnival after Carnival. The care we put into costume design is emblematic of our desire to treat you like family. Our commitment to preserving the environment and our respect for the health and safety of the numerous individuals who work tirelessly to ensure that you are feathered and crowned on Tuesday morning, informs all our production and supply chain considerations.

Art

Artists have long looked to the natural beauty of our countryside, the cultural diversity of our celebrations and the warm vibrance of our peoples for inspiration. One of our ambitious goals at Showtime Carnival is to provide a platform for those artists who have been inspired by things uniquely Trinibagonian and who have converted those inspirations into works of art that embody Showtime’s adoration for the twin island state and its culture. Each piece we share, while unique, possesses at least one aspect in common. That commonality is its fidelity to and promotion of our culture. The Culture.

Your J’ouvert morning armor of paint and mud or Tuesday’s regalia of feathers and sequins no longer have to be your most Trinbagonian sartorial choice of the year. Our Showtime Carnival merchandise is created by local designers and sustainably manufactured with care by loving Trinidadian hands. Grab a piece of the culture, swaddle yourself in it. Unlike your sequins it will be something you can wear all year round.
